Well done everyone involved! I can't quite believe it. I saw the the first two races before I had to go and we were struggling a bit with our timing(Cadey)like all nights out our rythm must have improved with alcohol. Excellent effort guys and girls!!

UPDATE: please can you wear your rugby kit with trainers..ie: shorts, club socks etc..a PRUFC shirt will be provided for the rowers but I suggest you bring changes of clothes and a towel..being all mummsy now! but I bet some of you fall in!!!! There is a BBQ next to us and I believe a bar or 2. Any problems let me know...apart from the obvious Eza..where are the bars????....
Posted by FLOWER on 18/06/2009 02:39:29.
Right info in now guys... We are listed as the 'SPORTSAID SPEEDSTERS' but will be announced as the team from PRUFC...We are listed in our first race at 11.45 so we need to be crewed up by 11am..so you do get a lie in Eza.... We will base our gazebo next to Crightons base camp..right next to their BBQ actually. There is a managers meeting at 9.30 that someone needs to attend...any offers???
Posted by FLOWER on 16/06/2009 10:44:43.
well depending on what time our first race is..we could make it later..I am trying to get the race starts info...watch this space.. by the way Eza, some of us oldies are in bed by 10am..isn't that right Pikey???
Posted by FLOWER on 16/06/2009 10:31:17.
Is a wake up call included?
Posted by EZA on 16/06/2009 10:16:17.
8.30am? Sunday morning? The morning after Saturday night? AM? Really?
Posted by EZA on 16/06/2009 10:14:30.
HI guys, still waiting on times of the races but we have a large gazebo to put up courtesy of Mr Brudes...so if any of you are around abour 8.30ish..I would appreciate the help....it will all be worth it if it rains.... is anyone making a sign for the PRUFC house of rowers...?..I am bringing the camera... oh, as this is a charity event, could everyone donate a minimum of £10 as we are supposed to have raised some money in return for Crightons buying us the boat this year...thanks guys...
Posted by FLOWER on 16/06/2009 09:35:00.
Cadey, your safety is of paramount importance to us because we need all of you for next season!! For more info check out www.dragonboatfestivals.co.uk/peterborough/
Posted by Phil Elmer on 16/06/2009 09:27:08.
woh woh! i feel mildly offended such comments. all i wanted to know was if there were life jackets. tidal wave tut tut.
Posted by CADEY on 15/06/2009 22:57:46.
Lifejackets are provided for all rowers but we cannot protect everybody against the tidal wave produced should KD fall in.....!!!
Posted by Phil Elmer on 15/06/2009 15:04:48.
lol, KD wants to know if arm bands are provided as his doggy paddle in the event of sinking aint that strong!
Posted by EZA on 15/06/2009 14:56:40.
Steady Eza!! lol :-) What time do we need to be at the embankment?
Posted by PHILLDANES on 15/06/2009 11:50:20.
Norris, Seargent, KD, Crooksie, Phil..........yep, were gonna sink!
Posted by EZA on 15/06/2009 08:54:58.
i take it there is no weight limit on this boat... does it go faster if we are deeper in the water, surely the physics would suggest it would be better if we just glide over the water?
Posted by NORRIS on 12/06/2009 15:37:08.
gosh we are good...thanks everyone!!!! ....will have some information regarding race times etc soon...watch this space!

Posted by FLOWER on 07/06/2009 12:02:08.
Michael and possibly a couple of his team mates(next seasons U17's) are up for it if you need them. Either way we'll be there to support.
Posted by John Smalley on 07/06/2009 00:54:35.
paul..please dont be to quick to write things off as we always field out a team and iam sure that we will be able to this year.can you give me a ring with details and i will endevour to get a team up,i understand that richard has been taking names have you spoken to him?
Posted by PIKEY on 06/06/2009 12:01:13.
Have to say that I'm disappointed at the level of support for this event - with the numbers so far we'll have to abandon this on Monday if we don't get any more volunteers.

The organiser is one of our major sponsors and will be very disappointed that we haven't raised any funds or supplied enough bodies to take part.

I wouldn't be surprised if his sponsorship was withdrawn next season.
